Spicy Food Reduces Disease Risks

Today I learned that spicy food can significantly reduce the risk of serious diseases. Researchers studied data from 500,000 people and found that those who eat spicy food 6–7 times a week have a 14% lower risk of death. This effect is associated with capsaicin, the compound that gives chili peppers their heat. Capsaicin helps reduce inflammation, improve metabolism, and has a positive effect on blood vessels.
